The Animal Welfare Society is an adoption network
committed to finding homes for companion animals. We are
a no-kill organization, and we place animals of all ages
into loving homes. We recently opened a one of a kind
no-kill shelter, however we still rely on
rely on a network of volunteer foster homes and owners
to hold onto their pets until adopted.
The Animal Welfare Society strives to educate the
community about responsible pet ownership and the
importance of spay/neuter through our Humane Education
program..

The Animal Welfare Society is pleased to welcome the
Pet Beastro into our shelter! The Pet Beastro is a premium pet food store
specializing in frozen raw cuisine. Owner Jill Tack is
knowledgeable in pet nutrition and raw food diets. She
can help guide you to the proper nutrition for your pet.
Raw food can give your pet better breath, cleaner teeth,
take away stomach and gastric problems and improve their
coat.The Pet Beastro stocks premium kibble, treats and
a variety of frozen raw food. Also available are
collars, collar charms, leashes, pet beds and toys.
Whether your pet has paws, claws, tails or whiskers,
you're sure to find the best nutrition at the Pet
Beastro!

We are also pleased to welcome experienced dog trainer,
Kris Littleson, to our facility. You may recognize Kris
from the famous Rock n Roll K-9s performances.
Kris is
very experienced in training rescue dogs, owning 8
border collies of her own. Please stop in our facility
to view the schedule, obtain more detailed information,
and sign up for classes today. Classes will begin on
January 23, 2008. Classes will consist of 7-weeks of
puppy or basic training. All adopters receive a 20%
discount! There is also a potty training/crate training
1-hour seminar. You may also email us at

Did You Know?
If every pet in the U.S. were to have
a home that would mean every family would have to own 7
dogs and 21 cats! If 92% of all dogs and cats were
spayed or neutered the remaining 8% could provide enough
puppies and kittens for the entire world. An average of
575 homeless dogs and cats are still being euthanized
every hour at shelters across the nation. It is
estimated that only 1 in every 6 cats is lucky enough to
have a home. On average 15-30% of dogs ending up in
U.S. shelters are reclaimed while cats average only 2-5%
being reclaimed. Please keep a current tag with your
address and phone number on your pets. It is a

We here at the Animal Welfare Society try to rescue
as many precious animals from the kill shelters and
gas chamber pounds before its too late for our furry
friends. We do not believe any animal should be
sitting in a cold dark kill shelter simply because a
negligent owner threw them away like garbage.
Therefore, we are calling on all our fellow animal
lovers. We need foster homes for these animals
immediately. The more foster homes we have, the more
lives we can save. Please sign up to be a foster
home today. We provide you with all the supplies you
need. You just supply the love and warmth of a safe
home for an unwanted puppy, dog, cat or kitten.
